Faluknuma is a palace in Hyderabad which originally belonged to the Paigah Family and was later owned by the Nizam of Hyderabad. It is situated on a hillock within a 32 acre area in Falaknuma. It was built by Nawab Sir Viqar-ul-Umra, Prime Minister of Hyderabad. Faluknuma means “Like the Sky” or “Mirror of Sky” in Urdu.
Chowmahalla Palace or Chowmahallat is the palace of Nizams of Hyderabad state. It was the seat power of the Asaf Jahi dynasty and was the official residence of the Nizams of Hyderabad during their reign. Now it is converted into a museum displaying the origin and evolution of Hyderabad, achievements and valuable contribution of the Nizams. The museum is distinctively divided into parts arranged around two quadrangle courtyards in North and South.
