Nagarjuna Sagar is a reservoir built on Krishna river on the border of Nalgonda district of Telangana and Palnadu district of Andhra
Pradesh. It ranks second in reservoir capacity and first in dam length in the country. This is the largest multipurpose project and it is named Nagarjunasagar as it is a famous Buddhist historical place. It has a storage capacity of 11,560 million cubic meters of water. Through this, irrigation water is being provided to Nalgonda, Suryapet, Khammam, Krishna and Guntur districts.
The tour is operated by a non-AC minibus that has a ticket price of Rs.1750 for an adult and for a child whose age is above 5 years old. Children below 5 years old don’t require a ticket.
