History of KBR National Park

KBR National Park, also known as Kasu Brahmananda Reddy National Park, was established in 1998 and named after Kasu Brahmananda Reddy, a former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

The area once formed part of the Chiran Palace grounds, which belonged to the Nizam family of Hyderabad. Later, the government converted the land into a protected national park to conserve the region’s natural ecosystem and biodiversity.

Today, the park covers around 390 acres and is protected by the Telangana Forest Department.
